UNYP Event Management students showcase their skills with an International Culinary Event

On November 9th, 2022, from 11:30 to 13:00, a group of UNYP Event Management students hosted an international culinary event at the UNYP Auditorium in cooperation with the Centre of Global Engagement. Over 15 students shared their culture with the University of New York in Prague by cooking traditional foods for around 80 of their fellow students, professors and administrators. 

The goal of the event was to spread awareness about the diverse cultures and backgrounds of the students, as UNYP has a very vivid international community. Students could cook for the event, or just come to try new foods. From brownies to babovka, there were around 20 different foods representing over 10 countries. “By far the best were the Pernik and the Ukrainian Varenic. I was surprised how much stuff you have here!” said Petr Jirsa from the Czech Republic. As well as the array of food for tasting, the guests could participate in activities such as quizzes and photo sessions. Everyone had a wonderful time exploring each other’s cultures in a successful event that highlighted UNYP’s international community and brought the students together. We’d like to thank the Event Management students for hosting this event, and creating some unforgettable memories!
